Skydive
Waiting to jump out of a plane at 8am is not everyone’s idea of fun but twelve of us from London and Norwich gave up their Sunday morning to do just that back in June. Three managed to do their skydive and came back full of beans, making the rest of us group even more eager to get into the plane. Unfortunately the weather had other ideas. The clouds rolled in and rain threatened leaving us hoping and waiting for the elements to improve. Several hours and many cups of tea later, it was deemed to dangerous to jump for the remainder of the day.
To ensure we were first in the queue on our next attempt we left at an even more unsociable hour in the morning and managed to get to the airfield just after 6.30am, a full hour and a half before the office opened! Thankfully the weather held out and we all found ourselves strapped to a large man in the back of plane excited or slightly scared about throwing ourselves out when we reached 10,000 feet.
Back on solid ground the group has managed to raise an amazing £1513.33 for Medic to Medic, which will really make a difference to the medical students in Malawi. Please add to the total by sponsoring us at http://www.justgiving.com/Medic-to-Medic
