A special thanks to Archie, Harriet, Ishmail, Jana, Nicky and Maryann who this September completed marathons, tough mudders, 10k's and the serpentine swim to raise funds for our students. Collectively they have raised over £2,000! Take a look at their stories and sponsorship pages below. Well done to all of you! Thank you for choosing us and we hope you're all rested up!
Ishmail Badr completed the Berlin Marathon in 3 hours and 13 minutes! This was Ish's 36th marathon(!) He has raised over £1000, well surpassing his target of £500.
Maryann Noronha completed the London South Tough Mudder, getting covered with mud in the process! She "loved every minute of it!" Rather you than us Maryann!
Harriet Blundell swam the Serpentine in the first event of it's kind - a one mile open water swim in the heart of London. She said "Survived the Serpentine!! Very cold without a wetsuit, dodged lots of geese and got covered in algae! But had lots of fun!!" She completed the course in 37 minutes and 39 seconds! Well done Harriet!
Nicky Loedolff ran the 10K race at Brockwell park raising £195. Nicky has volunteered in Malawi as a physiotherapist in the past and was struck by how few health workers there were which inspired her to help us with fundraising! Fantastic work Nicky!
The Shinn Brothers completed the Tough Mudder in Sussex which was a physically challenging 5 mile course with 13+ obstacles. They completed the race in an hour and a half. Archie said, "I would recommend fundraising as you can have fun challenging yourself and get rewarded after raising money and giving to a charity".
A final well done to Jana Elhorr who took part in the 1 mile open water Serpentine Swim with Harriet. This was Jana's first open water swim and she said she "was very excited to finish it despite the super cold water!"
