Medic to Medic is a registered charity in New Zealand!

January 09, 2021
In June 2020 we were able to successfully registered as a charity in New Zealand.

Being a registered charity in New Zealand will bring new opportunities for fundraising and will enable us to branch out to a new group of people to tell them about our students and the challenges they face.

One of the first fundraising events, that's already taken place, was "Buds Bike to Bluff".  A group of Rotorua doctors cycled the length of the country from Cape Reinga in the North Island to Bluff in the South Island in December 2020, raising money for Medic to Medic and another local charity!  Together they raised over NZ$15,000 of which Medic to Medic will receive over NZ$7500.  This is a great way to start our journey in New Zealand!  Reach more about their adventures here:

In the long term, we hope that the NZ branch of Medic to Medic will be able to support trainee health workers a bit closer to home in Asia and the Pacific and look forward to getting more connections here in the future.
